Mileage

Fuel economy numbers for the new 2019 Volvo XC40 are official. The company claims that power boost is not going to affect its fuel-friendly nature. In the matter of fact, if we compare the XC40 to its competitors, we will see that MPG rating will be a great advantage. Volvo’s SUV will return 26 mpg combined. For example, Mazda CX-5 comes with a similar mileage but produces only 185 hp. With Volvo XC40, we get 50-70 horses extra, for no cost on the fuel consumption. Also, a similar comparison is made with Mercedes-Benz GLA250. German crossover returns the same combined mileage but lacks 40 horses and costs more than the new XC40.

Hybrid

Right from its first appearance enthusiasts all around the world was asking about hybrid and electric models. Although Volvo is quiet, we are sure that the company is developing these types of drivetrains. Hybrids and plug-in vehicles are slowly replacing conventional units. We can be sure that 2019 Volvo XC40 will probably be among the first models from the Swedish carmaker to get an electric help for its petrol engines. A plug-in mill is also an option for the upcoming XC90 crossover.
