Lambo already stunned us with the debut in the SUV segment. Now, the Italian company is ready to take another step. The 2021 Lamborghini Urus is going to get the performance-oriented version. It sounds funny, knowing that the vehicle is one of the most powerful SUVs in the market. But, with rumors about the Ferrari Purosangue being louder every day, Lambo will respond with the special edition.

Urus is a special model already. Next season, the company is going to add more power and special cosmetic treatment to make it even meaner. We still don’t know the precise name of the package. Most experts call it Superleggera, but there are a few other options, such as SV and Performante. Fans of Lambo’s exotic cars know which vehicles are already using these nameplates.

2021 Lamborghini Urus Specs

Under the bonnet of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus will sit a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It creates 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, making the SUV accelerate 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. The max speed is 190 mph and Urus is using an eight-speed automatic transmission in combination with an all-wheel drive.

The same parts of the drivetrain system will be found on the Superleggera. However, engineers will tune it to create even more power. Ferrari will go after 700 ponies, but the new version of the Lamborghini Urus will respond with a similar output.

The SUV is already one of the most expensive models we can find in the market. The MSRP starts above $200,000. We cannot find too many more expensive SUVs. However, Ferrari is ready to break all the records with the starting price above $350,000. The 2021 Lamborghini Urus Superleggera won’t catch up with Purosangue only in performance, but also the price. Still, the most expensive project is the Lotus SUV. This ride is going to be above all current limits.
