The 2021 Nissan Pathfinder had its first appearance on streets and photographers grabbed the chance. The new SUV will bring a lot of changes since the test mule was all wrapped in camouflage. Still, the sharp eyes of fans and enthusiasts recognized a couple of things you are going to like.
First of all, the size of the SUV remains the same. But, the front fascia will suffer the most changes, and a larger grille is the eye-catching detail. The carmaker used a trick to make fans wrong by adding small pieces beneath the vehicle, creating a fake image. There is a way to go before the SUV enters production, but most experts believe the Pathfinder will debut as 2021 YM.

2021 Nissan Pathfinder Changes
The redesign of the mid-size SUV was expected. The company launched the last generation of this model in 2013. The aging design needed a refresh. However, the 2021 Nissan Pathfinder is not taking a radical turn. Instead of the complete change, the facelift and update of the interior will make the SUV fresh, but it will still keep old characteristics.

New Engines
Nissan will probably keep a V6 as one of the options for the upcoming vehicle. Still, the aging drivetrain needs an update as well. But, the carmaker could go with an all-new engine. A 2.0-liter turbo-four is already available for some other models. Still, 235 hp and 270 lb-ft are not enough for such a vehicle. But, as an alternative, we would like to see it rolling.
Another possibility is a hybrid unit. Well, Pathfinder had it already a few years ago. Now, Nissan needs it again to stay competitive in a tough market.

When Will 2021 Nissan Pathfinder Be Available?
The new 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will have a debut in the third quarter of 2020. The Japanese carmaker is testing its vehicles for a few months before the premiere. So, with the SUV spotted a couple of days ago, we believe that Nissan is aiming a debut at the NAIAS this June.
