Also, the most recognizable Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will come in blue color. Furthermore, a new hybrid is also an option, while the offers start with ES trim.
Cooperation between Mitsubishi and Nissan leads to the joint development of Outlander and Outlander Sport crossovers. These two will share many things with Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport models. However, it is not so easy to implement all details, and both SUVs will have to wait until they reach a new generation. A plan for Outlander is delayed from 2018 to next year. The four-cylinder mill is going to take the same place once again to deliver 150 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. There are two transmissions available to choose. Buyers can pick a 5-speed manual with entry-level SUV, or an auto CVT gearbox. Fuel economy is going to be pretty much the same for all versions with this drivetrain, around 26 mpg combined.
More power comes from a 2.4-liter inline-four engine. However, then the gas mileage for 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport drops. The output of 170 hp returns 24 mpg. Only automatic transmission pairs this unit, while it is up to customers if they want all-wheel or front-wheel drive.
Hybrid
The Sport version of Outlander still doesn’t offer a hybrid drivetrain. The standard crossover has a PHEV battery.
