After years of struggle, Lincoln finally ended Navigator’s suffer. Division of Ford Motor Company decided that the time for refreshments has come. The upcoming 2019 Lincoln Navigator will appear in the markets with plenty of innovations.
Based on Ford’s new Expedition model, Navigator comes with an upscale appearance and maybe even the best interior in its class. The strong and powerful engine is also in the lineup and this full-size luxury SUV could take the lead over its competitors like Cadillac Escalade.
2019 Lincoln Navigator is much better than predecessor
The approaching 2019 Lincoln Navigator shares a very similar theme to the Continental model. The exterior comes with plenty of bright chrome accents, huge wheels, and revised headlights. The front grille is larger with the massive Lincoln logo in the middle of it. LED treatment is installed in both backlights and headlights. Even the fog lights now feature LED bulbs. Side windows are black just like the B and C-pillars.
At the back, wrap-around taillights are the same as on the outgoing model. Instead of a star badge, the Lincoln block lettering is placed on the tailgate. A standard trailer hitch receiver can be found below, under the removable panel. Wheels are 22-inch turbine-style and with the black pocket, it looks amazing. The new model will be available with four trims Premiere, Select, Reserve and Black Label.
2019 Lincoln Navigator Interior
Both look and feel are at the highest level inside the Navigator’s cabin. Real wood and metal materials are dominating through the whole interior. The premium feel is there with the leather upholstery. The center console features a new style that we didn’t have a chance to see on any other SUV.
The dashboard is now separated into two sections where one section provides a digital 12-inch gauge cluster and other section have a large infotainment screen. Below that air vents are placed and are very nicely arranged. Moreover, there is another head-up display and is optional.
Third-row passengers can now enjoy in even more room, and there is a speculation that the Lincoln will release an extended version of Navigator. Basically, this full-size SUV offers seats for up to seven people, and there is plenty of room for passengers and even cargo. The panoramic moonroof is providing more light into the cabin and the rear seat passenger can now enjoy in watching a dual 10-inch TV screen.
Trims and Equipment
The base one trim Navigator Premiere comes with many luxury features like leather seats, rearview camera, power liftgate, power-folding 2nd- and 3rd-row seats and automatic climate control with 3-zone. Also, in this trim will be 10-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
However, the next trim Select will give as long-wheelbase with the model Navigation L. If one choose Reserve and Black Label it will get 30-way-adjustable front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
The new models highlight safety upgrades like active cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, electronic stability control, 360-degree-view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot sensor, low tire pressure warning, rear child safety locks and many others.
2019 Lincoln Navigator EcoBoost Engine
The powering options in 2019 Lincoln Navigator is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It is the same output that is used in Ford F-150. This powertrain produces 450 HP and 510 pound-feet of torque, thanks to the twin turbochargers. This EcoBoost engine will come as standard with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
The new gearbox is likely to improve fuel economy as well. The model Navigator 4×2 will give in city/highway fuel economy of 16/23 mpg, Navigator 4×4 around 6/21 mpg, the model Navigator L with 4×2 – 16/22 mpg and Navigator L 4×4 – 16/21 mpg.
2019 Lincoln Navigator Towing Capacity
While there are no official towing numbers, it is speculated that the 2019 Navigator will outperform all other full-size SUV competitors.
2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid model
The company announced that will also bring the Hybrid model in its line up. The models like Escape and MKC SUVs will get plug-in versions with alongside the Expedition and Navigator models for 2019. We dont have any official information about the engine. However, some rumors circulating that will use a same 3.5-liter engine with electric motor and powerful battery pack.
2019 Lincoln Navigator Price and Release Date
The all-new 2019 Lincoln Navigator will cost more than the outgoing model, which is expected to have in mind plenty of upgrades and refreshments. The price starts at $73,000 for the base one.
The model 2019 Lincoln Navigator L with long-wheelbase starts at $84,000. However, the model’s Reserve and Black Label comes with AWD system and a rice of $83,000 and $86,000. The last one luxurious Black Label and Black Label L will cost around $95,000 or $98,000.
This means that the 2019 Lincoln Navigator will cost less than its biggest rival Cadillac Escalade. Also, it will compete with models Infinity QX80 and Lexus LX570. The new Navigator model will appear on the markets in the first half of 2019.
