Land Rover prepares 150 units of legendary Defender with a V8 engine, marking the 70th birthday of this model. The engineering icon of this company will have a 5.0-liter engine. The 2018 Land Rover Defender Works V8 will be the first V-8 Defender since 1998.
Land Rover will also introduce the restored first prototype for the birthday party. This copy was one of only three prototypes of the Series 1, exhibited at the Amsterdam Auto Show in 1948.
