After Hyundai, which introduced the small SUV model Kona in mid-June, Kia launched its own car of the compact crossover class. An SUV named Stonic is still fresh in the market, but it will soon get the first update. After first impressions can expect new photographs and technical details about 2019 Kia Stonic.
The new Kia visually stands out from the rest of the segment. According to the design of the exterior, it also differs from other SUV models of this company. This shows that the Korean manufacturer doesn’t follow footsteps of some other carmakers, whose models are pretty much the same as the only difference in size. The 2019 Kia Stonic could head to the US market. However, it all depends on the success of its predecessor. For 2018 Stonic, it is an alternative to a 3-cylinder petrol unit. This 1.0-liter turbo engine can produce up to 120 hp. Both engines are mated to a 6-pace manual gearbox.
However, buyers can opt out for an automatic transmission. Not only that router is on choice, but there is also another gasoline unit. Top of the class engine is a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit. With it, 2019 Kia Stonic will be able to achieve 180 horses and 270 Nm of torque. Converted into the US units, it is 200 pound-feet.

When the interest for existing crossover starts to go down, the new 2019 Kia Stonic will appear. Besides minor cosmetic changes and a possible appearance in the US market, there won’t be other special details about the new SUV. However, the next edition proves that Kia is growing every year, and with every new vehicle. In cooperation with Hyundai, it can make a serious impact on every market.

Without the big update, we don’t expect the price to move from the current level. In the UK, buyers can purchase the vehicle for 13,000 pounds. In the rest of Europe, Stonic costs around 14,000 euro. If the crossover moves to the US, we could expect the price between $16,000 and $18,000.
