It’s been a while since we’ve heard the last words about the 2021 Jaguar J-Pace all-electric SUV. The British company made big announcements more than a year ago. Now, we are almost in 2020 and the J-Pace is still not out. Why?
Definitely, Jaguar set some other priorities. The main reason for the 2021 Jaguar J-Pace dropping into shadow is its price. Tesla made the same mistake with its Model X. Soon after this one, they developed a more affordable Model Y. Now, the Ford Mach E is out, but this is not going to speed up the development of a larger electric SUV by Jaguar.
However, having the concept ready will make it easier for 2021 J-Pace to show up. The competition in the mid-size segment is not tough and the price is the stumbling block. Also, the carmaker made already three important debuts in the crossover/SUV class.

J-Pace is Coming… But not for 2021
Jaguar is not leaving its projects undone. The 2021 Jaguar J-Pace is still possible, especially when we know that the company is already delivering an electric SUV. Furthermore, even the bosses are confirming the model is coming, but Ian Callum is not saying details about the release date.

Price, Competition
Early details had the first predictions about the 2021 Jaguar J-Pace pricing. The company stunned the public with 80,000 pounds as the initial price for the electric SUV. We can understand the cost of the development and all the premium features boosting the overall impression. But, is the J-Pace really worth $100,000? We doubt. And Jaguar is not sure about that. Bosses will have to re-evaluate everything about this SUV before it comes out.
The new J-Pace all-electric SUV will take on the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne, which will also get EV versions. From the existing SUVs, Tesla Model X is holding supremacy, but not too many buyers are interested in spending so much money on the electric vehicle.
