Despite the fact that the E-Pace has been launched by the British brand pretty recently, Jaguar is already working on the mid-career restyling of the subcompact SUV that could be unveiled between summer and autumn. The future 2021 Jaguar E-Pace has been caught by photographers in the first spy photo session. The prototype had tests in the United Kingdom. Here is what we saw and expect from the new model.
New Look Highlights the Mid-Cycle Refresh
The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace spy photos hide most of the exterior with camouflage. It left only the roof of the crossover uncovered. Beyond the attempts to obscure the aesthetic novelties of the design, the smallest SUV in Jaguar’s portfolio should update styling in the front by adopting a new bumper and a grille. Retouches to the look are also at the back. There, the crossover is going to adopt fresh taillights and tailgate design.

What are the Updates for the Engine Room?
Regarding the engines, there is still no official news on possible novelties. However, considering the manufacturers’ trend to move away from combustion engines and to invest in electrified solutions, it is difficult to think that the new 2021 Jaguar E-Pace can propose new petrol or diesel engines.
On the other hand, there are no details about the electric-based drivetrain. Jaguar is already producing I-Pace EV. Its subcompact crossover is not going all-electric, but a kind of hybrid or PHEV system will help it achieve better sales (which are poor by the way – Jaguar sold less than 5,000 units in last two seasons).

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Release Date
According to spy photos, the new E-Pace is almost ready for a debut and production. However, the company won’t rush and the crossover won’t appear in dealerships until summer. Meanwhile, we will try to obtain further information about specs and prices. If the new model gets a hybrid engine, the starting price will move north from the current point.
