The Isuzu only SUV is pretty old. But fans, don’t worry, the company is working on the next-gen model. Isuzu already launched the D-Max truck. The next one is an SUV. Experts believe it will be out as the 2021 Isuzu MU-X.
The new styling will refresh the look of the vehicle. However, more important upgrades are under the hood. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel is already confirmed, while we expect even more news about other possibilities. Fresh design and updated performance is a great start. Finally, the special Onyx package is also joining the lineup.
Under the Hood
Isuzu is planning a raid for more markets. One of these is Europe. To be competitive, the carmaker had to develop a cleaner engine. During the process, a 3.0-liter unit also became more powerful, gaining 10 kW and 20 Nm. Now, the 2021 Isuzu MU-X can count on 140 kW and 450 Nm. At least these are numbers for the D-Max pickup truck.
The vehicle will also get a limited-slip rear differential, making its performance in tough terrains better. The Japanese carmaker also confirmed a 1.9-liter turbocharged petrol unit. It is close to the production and outputs are not available yet.
2021 Isuzu MU-X Onyx
The Isuzu MU-X Onyx package will refresh the lineup. A lot of black details and new parts change the look of the standard SUV. Furthermore, spoilers and fenders are also improving the driving impression. Highlights of the Onyx trim are large 18-inch wheels and special red paint. Inside, an 8-inch touchscreen display sits at the center of the dashboard, and audio system is enhanced with more speakers.

When Will 2021 Isuzu MU-X Be Available?
