Tucson was refreshed for the 2019 season, but the complete redesign is not too far from now. The new model was caught on spy photos already. It was enough for Russian fans to make the first 2021 Tucson render images based on test mules.
What do we expect from a new 2021 Tucson? It is still questionable, but the prototypes could be the new N Sport version with boosted performances. It is strange to see the crossover being tested in Nurburgring, so this might be the only explanation.
The test mule is behind the heavy camo, but we still can find some interesting details on the new Tucson. Most of the visible changes at the moment are upfront. Also, the rear end is showing new taillights. We can also peek inside the crossover. However, the rear seats are missing and the interior is pretty plain. The redesign will make the 2021 Tucson more attractive, while the cabin comes with more features.
What is Tucson N?
The Tucson N will be a performance-oriented version of the crossover. This vehicle will return 340 according to reports. Early in 2019, the company announced it for the next season. There are no details about this model. The only thing we can find about the beefed-up version is the 0-60 mph time, which should stop the clock under 6 seconds. Currently, a model with a 2.4-liter engine can do it in 8.5 seconds.

Hybrid Rumors
The 2021 Tucson Hybrid is not likely to happen in the US. But, this vehicle is almost certain for the UK. Various sources are confirming these rumors. According to CarBuyer, the company will build a mild-hybrid system based on a diesel drivetrain. Well, most competitors are already available with electric combinations with conventional engines. The latest addition is Honda CR-V, while Toyota is a class leader with its Rav4 hybrid and its 40 mpg.
2021 Tucson Release Date
The new model is still fresh. The company also launched the new version for 2020. So, the new 2021 Tucson could have a premiere during next season. The N model is about to arrive in the US, while the rest of the world is getting a diesel-hybrid model.
