The N package changes the crossover’s drive mechanics, by using the same engine as the standard models.
2019 Hyundai Tucson – Comes with a few engine choices
The new 2019 Hyundai Tucson will be presented with three engine options and one of them is the new induction electric motor (hydrogen fuel cell). The base model Tucson SE will be mounted with an inline-4 – 2,0 engine. The engine is capable of producing 164 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. Furthermore, this model is also fuel efficient with its EPA city/highway economy of 23/30 mpg for the front wheel drive (FWD) and 21/26 mpg for the all-wheel drive (AWD).
The second one is 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 that will be paired with the 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. However, this one model will deliver 175 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 1,500-4,500 rpm. It is also fuel efficient like the previous model but with just little more better numbers. The EPA city/highway fuel economy is 25/30 mpg (FWD), 24/28 mpg (AWD) and 26/32 mpg (Eco, FWD), 25/30 mpg (Eco, AWD).
The last one is as we mentioned at the beginning an Induction electric motor (hydrogen fuel cell). This one model will use an advanced system that turns the element into electricity to power a motor. Furthermore, it will produce 134 horsepower at 5,000 rpm. The torque is 221 lb-ft at 1,000 rpm. It comes with 37-gallon tank that can be filled in less than 10 minutes. When fully charged the car is capable to go about 265 miles. All models will have a standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
2019 Hyundai Tucson – MSRP, Expected Release Date and Opponents
As for the pricing, we assume that the model 2019 Hyundai Tucson SE will have just little higher price than the predecessor. The price number will be around $24,000. However, the better-equipped Eco model is expected to have a price around $26,000. Its release is expected at the end of 2018.
The Sport model will have $1000 higher price and will come with $27,000. If you go for the Ultimate package you will need to spend around $35,000. The biggest competitors will be Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV, Mazda CX-5 and Ford Escape.
