The powertrain in the new USA model 2019 GMC Terrain will come in two variants. The first one will have inline-4 engine 2.4-liter (SL, SLE-1, SLT, Denali). This model will give us 182 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 172 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 rpm.
It comes with a very efficiency fuel economy of 21/31 miles per gallon for front wheel drive, 15/21 mpg for the E85, FWD and 20/28 mpg for AWD /14/20 mpg (E85, AWD).
However, the second and last one engine is the strong V6 with 3.6-liter V6 only in (SLE-2, SLT, Denali). This one will produce around 301 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 272 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm. The EPA city/highway fuel economy for this V6 engine is 17/24 miles per gallon for front wheel drive – gasoline, 13/22 mpg (FWD, E85) and 16/23 mpg for the all-wheel drive-gasoline. Both engines will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
2019 GMC Terrain – Rivals, Price and Expected Date of Arrival
This popular SUV will have a huge number of rivals. Some of them are Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, Chevrolet Equinox and other popular models in this segment.
The upcoming model 2019 GMC Terrain SL’s will have a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of around $25,000, including destination. The SLE-1 trims start just over $28,000 and SLE2/SLT models start at about $29,700 and $32,000. The Terrain Denali trim will have a price of $35,200.
However, the all-wheel-drive or AWD adds about 1,750 dollars on all models. The new model will be released at the end of the 2018 year.
