The 2019 GMC Acadia will come to us with minimum improvements in exterior and interior design. However, the GMC Company has not made mechanical changes to the new model. So, we expect that will have the same performance as predecessor with minimal improvements.
This mid-size SUV will be made on the GM T1 platform as well as all models of the second generation. The Cadillac XT5 model also uses this platform.

The latest model 2019 GMC Acadia stands out for its robustness and attractive lines. We can expect a couple of new exterior colors compared to the previous model in order to meet the specific requirements of the consumer. A wide metal grid will be the most striking part of the front. The center will contain the letters of Company name – GMC. The headlights have an interesting and aggressive shape, while the fog lights and bumper are framed with chrome elements. However, the new model will also come with few new interior colors and seating surfaces.
2019 GMC Acadia – Comes with two Engine Variants
The new 2019 GMC Acadia will come with two naturally aspired engines. Also, this is the first model that will come with Start/Stop technology to reduce fuel consumption. The base engine included in FWD-only SL/SLE-1/SLE-2/SLT-1 models will come with 2.5-liter inline-4 that will produce 194 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 190 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. The EPA city/highway fuel economy is reduced to 21/26 mpg for the (FWD) and 21/25 mpg for the (AWD) model. It can tow max 4,000 pounds.
2019 GMC Acadia Denali models
The second options are a more powerful engine that will be in models SLE/SLT-1 /SLT-2 and Denali. The word is of a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. However, this one model comes with Active Fuel Management. This system will turn it to V4 under light loads. The fuel economy in city/highway for this one is 18/25 mpg (FWD) and 17/25 mpg (AWD). Both engines will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
2019 GMC Acadia – MSRP, Date of Release and Rivals
The new model will have same or similar price like the current model. The base model of Acadia SL comes with a price tag of $30,000. The SLE model will be just under $34,000, while SLT starts at $39,500. If you want to upgrade to AWD, you will need extra $2,000.
However, the mighty Acadia Denali starts at just under $46,000 for the (FWD) or $48,000 for the (AWD). The full loaded AWD model will come closer to $52,000. The main rivals will be Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.
