The forthcoming 2019 Ford Expedition is an all-new model that shares virtually nothing with its predecessor. Just like Ford F-150, the Expedition will gain advanced exterior changes, such as extensive use of aluminum materials.

2019 Ford Expedition is a good looking SUV
The all-new 2019 Ford Expedition looks more similar to the lineup of the company’s SUVs than the F-150 pickup. Of course, Expedition is based on that pickup and there are some cues that are almost or completely the same. However, headlights, taillights and the overall profile is more SUV than anything else. All those features look bigger than on Ford Explorer, but we don’t see it as a bad thing, far from that.
The expedition is a good looking SUV with the perfect combination of sophistication and sharpness. This powerful SUV can accumulate comfortably up to eight passengers. Platinum trim is full of chrome materials but comes with still plenty of sheet metal. The Expedition is also using aluminum in its construction, and 300 pounds are saved as a result.
2019 Ford Expedition Interior with Premium Look
At first look, the cabin looks like in almost any other Ford’s model. However, even that the layout is easy to recognize, there is a small twist. Some controls for temperature, volume, drive-mode selector are looking knurled which gives the premium look to the interior. The gear selector also comes with a knurled surface, it feels good when you hold it and it is easy to use as well.
There is no lack of features, especially on higher trim models like Platinum. The 3rd row offers plenty of legroom, the Max model offers even more. Same stands for cargo room.
Trims and Tech
This beautiful and big SUV will be offered with XLT, Limited or Platinum trims. The trim XLT comes standard with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Plenty of features will be there like three-zone air conditioning, a mighty sound system with nine speakers and audio system with AM/FM, MP3, CD, SiriusXM and Bluetooth and few USB inputs. Also, we must add to the list and push-button start and keyless system.
However, the Limited and Platinum trims will get multi-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, 10-way-power driver’s seat, powerful Bang & Olufsen audio system. Furthermore, the Platinum model will be much more luxurious. It will offer nicer leather, panoramic sunroof and active noise cancellation.
2019 Ford Expedition Max model
There is one more version of this SUV Expedition Max. This model looks awesome with a longer wheelbase and increased cargo space. It comes with very comfortable seats and with comfortable seats and in the 3rd-row one will get plenty of room.
The interior and exterior are same as in the base one model. It will be available with 4×2 and 4×4 system and it will be offered with same trims like the standard version.
Safety Features
On the safety front, the newest model 2019 Ford Expedition and Max model comes with a rearview camera, multiple airbags, a post-crash alert system for emergency help and trailer-sway control for the better haul.

2019 Ford Expedition EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine
There is only one powertrain option in the new 2019 Ford Expedition. Under the hood, we can find a 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 unit. This engine is capable of producing up to 375 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Those number looks impressive, and thanks to its 10-speed automatic transmission, the Expedition is good at everything.

If you opt for a casual drive, long trip or hauling stuff, the 2019 Ford Expedition can do all of that. This mighty SUV is capable to tow a boat or trailer weighing up to 9,300 pounds when properly equipped.
As for the fuel economy, it will give in city/highway 17/24 mpg for the model with 4×2, 17/22 mpg for the 4×4, 17/23 mpg (4×2 Max model) and 16/21 mpg (4×4 Max model).
2019 Ford Expedition Price and Release Date
The price of all-new 2019 Ford Expedition is slightly above $50,000. Expedition Max is priced at $56,000. Move to the Platinum trim and you will pay around $74,500.
Those prices are in line with some rivals like GMC Yukon, but the 2019 Ford Expedition is slightly pricier than Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban. The newest Ford’s SUV will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2018.
