General Motors is going strong into the new season. After the next-gen Tahoe, Suburban, and GMC Yukon full-size SUVs, and the return of Chevrolet Blazer, another vehicle is going through an update. The 2021 Chevy Traverse adopts some styling solutions from its sibling to keep the fresh look fighting against the competition. Sadly, we still don’t have any info about the new drivetrains.
Chevrolet focused on safety. More options are now standard on each trim level. Also, additional features are available at some points. Plus, the exterior presents some changes that will make the 2021 Traverse look like its bigger siblings. A V6 is, for now, the only engine, but the reinforcement is coming.

2021 Chevy Traverse Changes
There are two segments where Chevrolet updated its mid-size SUV. First – designers changed the exterior inspired by the new arrivals. The 2021 Chevy Traverse will get a very similar grille to its siblings, Tahoe and Suburban. Also, new headlights and taillights will make the SUV more attractive.
All around the lineup, you will find a lot of safety features. The 2021 Traverse comes with automatic braking in an emergency situation and lane keep and departure alerts. IntelliBeam is the smart function, with automatic high beams. The distance indicator is the first step in autonomous drive evolution.

New Engines
The mid-size SUV is currently available only with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp. It is obvious that the situation is not remaining at one option after dropping a turbo-four from the lineup. The comeback is a likely outcome. The 2021 Chevy Traverse would get 255 horsepower and improved fuel economy. But, for the best performance, the GM will have to develop a hybrid unit. By keeping us hanging, we assume the development is ongoing and the premiere could happen next year. The system will boost both fuel economy and power outputs. Do not be surprised if the new Traverse goes after more power with a 5.3-liter V8 unit.
