2020 Ford Expedition Is Getting a Diesel Engine

We can hear a lot of news about their siblings. But, changes on the new 2020 Ford Expedition are still speculations. However, the new SUV is getting a few interesting updates. Based on the F-150 truck, the Expedition will follow the steps of its stablemate. As soon as the company announced that diesel engine is becoming the part of pickup’s drivetrain lineup, it was obvious that the big SUV will get the same drivetrain. It is a 3.0-liter Power Stroke unit that is capable to deliver 240 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. At the same time, this power will increase the towing capacity to 11,000 pounds.

Ford is also electrifying its vehicles. In the next couple of years, we will see more and more hybrids and EVs. Again, one of the stars will definitely be the legendary truck. According to some rumors, a mild-hybrid F-150 could appear next season. Of course, the 2020 Ford Expedition will be there to borrow and test the same drive system on a different chassis.
