The 2019 Cadillac XT5 will be the new edition of the vehicle that thrived the crossover class in this company. Caddy is expanding this segment, after the success. The new model will top the 6.6 seconds sprint to 60 mph achieved by the current version. Front-wheel drive setup comes by default. Power router is an 8-speed automatic gearbox with manual mode. Of course, an all-wheel-drive mode is optional for Cadillac XT5.
There are rumors about the alternative for a 3.7-liter engine. Cadillac could launch a V-Sport version of XT5 luxury SUV with a smaller displacement. Experts believe that 3.0-liter drivetrain could be capable to produce more power thanks to a help from the turbocharger. This model is also better on fuel economy from the base crossover.
2019 Cadillac XT5 Changes
We can’t expect a redesign or any big modifications on the 2019 Cadillac XT5. There are few reasons. One is the new generation coming shortly after 2019 model. So, there is no need to add new features, when the next Caddy XT5 will be brand-new. Furthermore, we will see many other crossovers by Cadillac next season, and these have to elbow their way on the tough market. So, the company can’t launch the same vehicle in different sizes and call them different names. Every one of them will have some unique parts and that is a priority for the carmaker.
Facelift
So, the 2019 Cadillac XT5 will probably see minor changes and updates. Outside, only true fans will be able to recognize minor changes. On the other hand, inside the cabin, designers will update most of the info-entertaining system. The CUE is heading into a new generation, which could come before the next XT5 model. Either way, Cadillac will add the best it has at the moment to its flagship SUV.

The 2019 Cadillac XT5 is almost ready for a debut. However, there are also other models in the XT lineup. We still don’t know the plans of this company. We believe that the XT5 will be released first, and after it, fans will see other SUVs. Nevertheless, it is not going to happen before the summer.
