The model 2019 Buick Encore is a small crossover that is style-conscious for the young buyers. It shares the same platform as the Chevrolet Trax and comes with a 5-door entry. The upcoming SUV comes with two engine options. The first one and base one is turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-4. This turbocharged engine makes 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. It will provide city/highway fuel economy of 27/33 mpg (FWD), 26/31 mpg (AWD).
The upgraded version of the same engine that is included in Sports Touring, Preferred II, Essence and Premium trims will deliver 153 horsepower at 5,600 and 177 lb-ft of torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm. However, this one engine will give a fuel economy of 25/33 mpg (FWD) and 24/30 mpg (AWD). Both versions will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual-style shifting.
2019 Buick Encore Cost and Launch Date
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the base model of the 2019 Buick Encore starts around $24,000. However, the Sport Touring trim will starts at $26,500, and the fully loaded top-line Encore $35,000. We expect this model to be in the showroom in a couple of months. The new model will compete with Chevy Trax, Kia Soul, Honda H-RV, Nissan Juke, Jeep Renegade, Mazda CX-3.
