Next couple of years are very important for all the fans of the Bavarian carmaker. The company is making a breakthrough with a total 10 new models. All of them will be from the M performance division. X3M and X4M are already out. What is next? According to speculations, one of the biggest novelties will be the 2021 BMW X5M.
Most sedans will get the M treatment. SUV fans expect the 2021 BMW X5M and X6M in the new editions. More power, more aggressive styling, and upgraded Competition packages are enough to wait eagerly for the company to launch its flagship models.
What Do We Know So Far?
The company is going to bring a lot of novelties to make it up for the diesel emission reports scandal. Besides the new M versions for the entire fleet, the company chiefs promised a new engine. It will be the most powerful thing BMW produced so far. Of course, the xDrive AWD will be one of the options, as well as the manual gearbox. The standard drivetrain will send power to rear wheels. The Bavarian carmaker also promised the launch in 2020 for the 2021 BMW X5M and most of the ten new M Performance vehicles.
2021 BMW X5M Specs, Competition Model
We will see what kind of surprise the German giant is preparing for us. Currently, they are very mysterious. Current version cranks up to 617 hp and we cannot imagine the SUV with more power. It seems like the company is going after the Jeep Grand Cherokee and its 707 hp-rated Hellcat engine. The upcoming 2021 BMW X5M will be a step closer to the most powerful SUV on the market.
Besides the standard edition, the X5M is going to offer a version with more power. It is called the Competition package and currently, it is the one with 617 hp. The standard suite is coming with 600 ponies. We will see if the M model is getting electric support, like its archrival, Mercedes GLE AMG.
The new 2021 BMW X5M will be out during 2020. The company didn’t five the precise release date. We believe that is about to happen in the final quarter. Price is not going to be unveiled until then, but do not expect a bargain.
