The X2 nameplate is already available in Europe. However, US buyers are waiting for the subcompact model to cross the ocean. It is smaller than its sibling X1. However, the wheelbase is the same, but drivers are not happy with the room inside the cabin. There are, of course, differences in styling, since the newer X2 looks bolder. The most important – the 2021 BMW X2 should be available in the US if we can trust the latest rumors.
The Bavarian carmaker is a leader in the compact and subcompact luxury segments. Well, a surprise is why we didn’t see it earlier. Compared to other odd and even nomenclature in the BMW lineup, this is not going to be the coupe version of the X1. On the other hand, the 2021 BMW X2 is an interesting project and it can offer something new for the buyers in the United States.

Drivetrains
European buyers can choose between diesel and petrol engines. Well, the first type of drivetrain is still popular out there. A 1.5-liter unit can produce 115 hp and 200 lb-ft. However, upper trim levels with a 2.0 engine are more popular. Standard configurations offer 150 or 190 ponies, while the most powerful model is delivering 230 hp and 332 lb-ft.
Only the 2021 BMW X2M petrol version can beat that with 300 horsepower. Some fans think this is too much for the small crossover. Well, there are lighter versions of a 2.0-liter gasoline displacement with 189 and 228 hp. A 1.5-liter I3 is good for 140 ponies and 160 lb-ft of torque.

When Will the 2021 BMW X2 Be Available?
BMW is not rushing with the premiere. Ever since the debut in Europe, US buyers are waiting for the news about the new model. Well, the time is now and the 2021 BMW X2 will be available in dealerships early next season.
