As soon as we stepped into 2018, first images of the new BMW X5M have appeared. Release date and other details are still unknown, but leaking info can show us what to expect from this model. The 2019 BMW X5M interior is again full of premium and sporty equipment. Specs sheet is not available, and we could see this vehicle as X5M50d diesel variant in future.
Spy shots are there just to confirm rumors. The heavy cover on the 2019 BMW X5M is hiding most of its body, so we can’t see exactly every detail. But, the camouflage is not so huge, which means this crossover will come pretty soon. It is up to the Bavarian carmaker to set the MSRP and release date, and then we can count down until its launch.
2019 BMW X5M Specs
Under the hood of the existing X5M performance-oriented SUV is a 4.4-liter V-8 engine. Turbo drivetrain is capable to deliver 567 hp. The 2019 BMW X5M will reattain the same unit with few extra horses. Torque is massive again, probably closer to 560 lb-ft. This SUV is not there to be fuel-friendly since it is about to return just 15/20 mpg.
M50d Diesel Engine
Besides the standard petrol variant, the 2019 BMW X5M will get a diesel drivetrain. However, this model is not going to be available worldwide. Customers in the US market are probably not getting this one next year. Diesel unit is a 3.0-liter V-6 mill that can produce 381 hp. Triple-turbo system also provides 550 pound-feet of torque between 2,000-3,000 rpm. An automatic gearbox will send power probably to all wheels.
2019 BMW X5M Redesign
Availability of spy photos doesn’t mean too much for fans. With a lack of knowledge about 2019 BMW X5M, we can only guess what the company is up to. Nevertheless, this crossover is not going to suffer big, radical changes. Instead, designers will focus on the interior and accessories in the cabin. Outside, a facelift will refresh the appearance. It will include a revisit of headlights, bumper, and hood parts.

As always, this model will get the latest infotainment, entertaining, and safety features and equipment. A panoramic sunroof and multi-zone climate are boosting the overall comfort. On the safety end, there are a rearview camera and parking sensors in the standard offer. Optionally, buyers can pick a 360-degree camera and few assist accessories. Apple CarPlay is an extra feature again, and its installing costs around $300, as for the standard X5 SUV.
2019 BMW X5M Black Fire and F85
The last squad of the X5M SUV had a special, Black Fire Edition. Around 200 models were available in the US, and all of them are sold very fast. Blacked out 2019 BMW X5M will come shortly after the release of the base model. The Black Fire Edition comes with special wheels, M-theme for the grille, and special paint job.
Besides this one, we expect again from Hamann Motorsport to create 2019 BMW X5M F85. This is beefed up model, which gains 65 extra horses and pound-feet. Carbon and alloy parts will also make the F85 version more appealing to buyers. Electronics inside the cabin will see the revisit. Also, many details will show this is a special edition of the X5M crossover.
