The newest 2019 BMW X3 is a compact luxury crossover SUV that will be updated and refreshed for the upcoming year. This model is owned by German automaker BMW since 2003. The interior is comfortable, quality and beautiful as this Bavarian manufacturer has already accustomed us to. The 2019 BMW X3 model comes with engines that are more powerful than in previous models. However, the diesel engine options are again on the list.
The model xDrive35i is now coming with 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. If we look at the numbers of predecessor this model is gain an 8 horsepower more and 2 fewer lb-ft. The fuel economy is remaining the same with EPA city/highway rating of 21/28 mpg.
The model xDrive28d will offers now a good power and fuel economy. It comes with 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel inline-4 engine. This will create a 180 horsepower at 4,000 rpm. Its torque will be 280 lb-ft at 1,750-2,750 rpm. With the all-wheel-drive system, this model will have fuel economy rating of 27/34 mpg.
However, the model M40i’s comes with the more impressive output. The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 will now produce 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This is 55 HP increases and 69 lb-ft more torque. It will have EPA city/highway fuel economy of 19/26 mpg. All this engine will be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Furthermore, the All-wheel drive system or xDrive is now standard on all models. The fuel tank capacity of the 2019 BMW X3 is 17,2 gallons.
2019 BMW X3 Release Date and Cost
The 2019 BMW X3 is expected to goes on sale in November 2018. As for the pricing, it is too early to speculate. But with the additional technology, new engines and standard all-wheel drive system the starting price will be thousands of dollars more than current. The previous model has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for a xDrive28d around $43,000. The 6-cylinder xDrive35i starts at $49,000. The full loaded M40i can reach $60,000.

The new 2019 BMW X3 will get more and more competitors in this luxury segment. From now it is shoulder to shoulder with Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Infiniti QX50, Lincoln MKC and Volvo XC60.
