The German carmaker is going strong into a new season. After the latest addition of the Q8, the company now focuses on the other end of the crossover/SUV segment. The next thing we see is the 2021 Audi Q1.
The premium vehicle is going to deliver less power than its closest sibling, Q2. However, it will share a lot of things in common. Well, we hope this one is not skipping the appearance in the largest market. Fans in the US are buying more Audis than ever and this could be the chance to challenge the most popular units in the subcompact crossover luxury class.
Where Can You Find 2021 Audi Q1 Spy Photos
Recently, Motor1 published a few spy photos of the new crossover, claiming the German carmaker is testing its vehicle in Norway. Well, this is confirming the words of spokesmen who announced it a couple of years ago.
This is the logical follow up of the A1 Sportback car. The 2021 Audi Q1 will be the crossover version and in a few years, the carmaker will complete the lineup. The most problems were caused by the Q4, but Audi managed to obtain the rights to use this nameplate.
What We Know So Far?
Well, not too much. A teaser image, spy photos of the crossover similar to the Q2, and rumors. Well, we can find some interesting stories. For example, the new Q1 could get an all-electric drivetrain, based on the e-Tron platform. Well, this is not unrealistic, but experts believe the manufacturer will take the proven recipe – the MQB architecture.
The Q2 is not the only addition we expect from Audi. There are also Q4 and Q9 to complete the crossover/SUV portfolio. Furthermore, the carmaker also plans to make performance versions of the existing models (RS Q8, Q3 E-Tron), and more pure electric vehicles.
